Inspiration from Nature

One of the great things about learning to paint landscapes and is that it causes you to begin to see nature in an entirely new way. You start to see things in nature that you've never seen before. You start to notice aspects you've never considered before. Not because it wasn't there all along but because now you have a new perspective. You begin imagining the real natural world around you as an always changing art piece on an ever moving canvas. The reds of a sunrise, the stunning colors in this sunset, and the list is endless. What captivates me most is the highlights and shadows and their movements throughout the day. The inspiration that comes from the beauty of nature is always around us all the time, just waiting to be seen.
